I was on my 6th Zoom call of the day when someone decided that this long-established team needed to start with an icebreaker. I’m all for building relationships with my colleagues and engagement, but I’ll admit that even I rolled my eyes a bit.
And then she asked everyone to “Tell us something that has helped reduce your stress in the past 24 hours.”
Wow, I didn’t see that one coming. If she asked my favorite childhood cartoons, I was ready with Justice League and Smurfs. I would have been quick to share that I’ve never once tried coffee. My least favorite foods include olives and egg salad. And my best vacation was on a South African safari.
But stress relievers? In the time of coronavirus? Yes, we could all probably use a few more stress relieving ideas.
I was impressed as we went around the Zoom boxes and shared. I think yoga. My colleague thinks boxing.
Below are some of the best stress relievers as shared by the group. What works for you?
